Hello I’m Maria, a Nutritionist, Health Coach and Mum. I work with parents, picky eaters, and the all the rest in between, helping them to find easy ways to live a healthier lifestyle.
I believe that true well being starts from the inside out and the best way to nurture ourselves is in the food we eat and the environment we live in. I provide clear and simple advice to families.
I specialise in working with parents and children and offer both weight loss and personalised health programmes. You may have fertility issues, post partum weight gain or a child with asthma or a food intolerance. Whatever the issue I can offer practical support.
Our lives are busy, we all want to do the best for our children but that can be difficult when we are bombarded with information about what we should and shouldn’t be doing. I’m here to do the hard work, keeping it simple so you can do what you should be doing, enjoying your family.
I began my career working in the voluntary legal sector where I had a busy and successful career for over 10 years, after the birth of my first child I knew a change of direction was needed and I began studying Nutrition. I trained with The College of Naturopathic Medicine, one of the leading providers of Nutritional Therapy in the UK. I completed a 3 year Diploma and am now a Registered Nutritional Therapist. I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), this was set up by the Government to ensure that complementary health practitioners are registered and accredited. Both have strict codes to adhere to and monitor members to ensure continued professional development. Any qualified Nutritionist will be a member of both of these bodies.
I am also a Zest4Life Associate. Zest4Life, founded by Patrick Holford provides proven successful weight loss programmes which focus not only on healthy eating but also on overcoming the barriers which stop people achieving their goals. See Zest for more details.
If you are interested on working with me then please look at My Programmes for more information.
Finally when not being a mum or a nutritionist you will probably find my walking my dog in my beautiful home town of Brighton, reading a good book or experimenting with recipes.
